Community Contributions – Game Based Learning and Gamification

Hi Jason,

I really enjoyed reading your post this week. I like how you pointed out the two contexts you view gamification, one as a learner and one as a teacher. It has been interesting to learn about these different tools and the ways they affect learning and how teachers can implement them well. I agree that tools like Prodigy are not perfect, certainly not for every student, but the support and engagement they provide can help some students. I love the video you included, it definitely helps define game based learning and gamification and the examples of each are helpful. Thanks for sharing!
